Hi,
I have some difficulties to understand the Oracle's definition of Named User Plus, which is one of the drivers for license fee.
If I have an application using ORACLE as persistence and this application has
a. n server backgroung processes which access the db
b 1 to n application users
How many Named User Plus I have to add my license? One for the server and one for each application user?
Does it matter how many concurrent connections one user (or server) opens to DB?

No, concurrent users do not matter. It's all about the number of named users + batch interfaces that can access your database.
Also, don't forget about the minimum names users per CPU minimums you need to maintain.
BTW: If you don't like the NU+ licensing model, consider licensing per CPU instead.
