Iam facing a peculiar problem while compiling procedure in oracle 9i when i compile the procedure iam geeting error ora:03113 end-of communication channel error.The procedure which iam copiling has links to remote Database.But the query which has the remote link are able to execute properly when i run it as a stand alone query from sql propmpt.

Wht could be the problem?

I have oracle 9i client on my laptop. I get frequently 'end of communication channel' when I try to connect to different databases.

i am also facing the same problem please let me know soon if you get:

Error is : ora:03113 end of communication channel error on oracle9i

while creating the consys.context index it gives the same Error: the code line i am trying to execute is below:

create index srcdata on srcdata(bodydata) Indextype is ctxsys.context;

i am also trying from vb project but the error message is same ....

What Could be the problem..please let me know...?
