Hi all
I would like to know if there is a way to push an event to a client PC (Much like in Firebird /interbase which has events).
I want to be able to call an event from within a trigger to send out a notification to all listening client applications to inform them of a database update or insert etc.

I use Delphi as the front end to develop my clients and oracle 9 and up for the database.

thanks

Cheers

David

Are your client applications logged on to the database? If so, DBMS_ALERT might be the simplest way. The docs give an example of raising an alert with a DML trigger.
