when all else fails, Read The Fine Manuals

http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B28359_01/server.111/b28279/toc.htm

It would be helpful if you followed Posting Guidelines - http://www.orafaq.com/forum/t/88153/0/

Before, Please read OraFAQ Forum Guide, especially "How to format your post?" section.
Make sure that lines of code do not exceed 80 characters when you format.
Indent the code, use code tags and align the columns in result.
Use the "Preview Message" button to verify.
Also always post your Oracle version, with 4 decimals.

Regards
Michel

I will add:
- Is "give a query" the only title you know? Can't you find a more neaningfull one?
- Post a working Test case: create table and insert statements along with the result you want with these data then we will be able work with your table and data.

Regards
Michel

I will add and do not use IM/SMS speak.

I really doubt you are sorry for anything.
It seems you really don't care about forum guide.

Regards
Michel

Now I'd add do NOT post in UPPER case.
Congratulations! You broke almost all rules, there are a couple ones you didn't break, I let you guess what they are and wait for your next post.

Regards
Michel
