we have new requiremnet.
i am new to spatial.
my requirement is
gps hard ware device is capturing the gps values continously.it generates xml fiel continously.

against each request we have to store the gps values.but we are getting values continoulsy in xml format.assume every one minute it creates the xml file containing gps values. the gps is on for 10 minutes means we get 10 values.but while storing aggainst the request we have to store one value only(but we have 10 values for 10 minutes).is there any method to store the gps value.means for gps avg or max or min or standard devation which one we have to apply on those 10 values which gives exact gps value from 10 values.that value we hae to store that value.

for storage of gps values spatial is compulsary?
storing of gps values in normal tables is correct method?
what is standard method of storing gps values
