What is positive and what is negative... Wink... subjective Impressions of people who use oracle 10g or who know the differences between 9i and 10g.

Disadvantage: more characters to type ('10' instead of '9')
Advantage: one is supported, the other is not.

If we suppose that Oracle didn't make a step backward when it released Oracle 10g, then the New Features Guide might list and explain things that were improved or didn't exist (when compared to prior version(s)).

Although, there's no guarantee that every new version is better than the old one in each and every aspect.

Disadvantages? I don't know, couldn't tell ... from my point of view, and as much as I have used 9i and 10g, I think that I can't remember any drawback (which, of course, doesn't mean that there aren't any). But there certainly are advantages as - sometimes, while working on 9i - I think shit, I'm not on 10g!
